Job description
We are seeking a dedicated IT Support professional to provide technical assistance and support to our organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for resolving hardware and software issues, maintaining network infrastructure, and ensuring seamless operation of IT services across various platforms. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong problem-solving skills and a passion for technology to contribute to a dynamic team., * Provide technical support to end-users via help desk channels, addressing hardware, software, and network issues efficiently.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software problems related to operating systems such as Windows, macOS, and Linux.
- Manage and support computer hardware including desktops, laptops, servers, and peripherals.
- Maintain and administer network infrastructure including LAN, VPN, DNS, TCP/IP protocols, firewalls, and switches.
- Support Active Directory management tasks such as user account creation, permissions, and group policies.
- Utilise tools like SCCM, BMC Remedy, ServiceNow, and Jira for incident tracking and resolution workflows.
- Assist with software deployment, updates, and troubleshooting using tools like Microsoft Office suite and other enterprise applications.
- Monitor system performance and security; implement necessary updates or configurations to ensure optimal operation.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to develop solutions that improve system reliability and user experience.
- Document technical procedures and maintain accurate records of support activities.
Requirements
Do you have experience in macOS?, * Proven experience in IT support or help desk roles with a strong understanding of computer networking principles.
- Proficiency in Windows Server environments including Active Directory management.
- Knowledge of operating systems such as Windows, macOS, and Linux.
- Familiarity with network protocols including TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, and firewall configurations.
- Experience supporting enterprise-level software such as Microsoft Office suite; knowledge of SCCM is advantageous.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in hardware components and software applications.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users.
- Analytic mindset with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively under pressure.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate or similar are desirable but not essential.
