Job description
In this role you'll design, support, and maintain on-premises, cloud, and virtual desktop environments, ensuring secure, reliable, and high-performing systems. The role has a strong focus on Citrix, Microsoft cloud technologies, and modern endpoint management, and acts as a senior escalation point for the Service Desk., * Design, implement, and support infrastructure across on-premises and cloud platforms.
- Administer Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPO, and certificate services.
- Manage virtualisation platforms including VMware and XenServer.
- Support and optimise Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops and Citrix Cloud.
- Administer Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 services.
- Manage endpoint security, compliance, and application deployment using Microsoft Intune.
- Act as an escalation point for complex issues.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure, cloud, network, Citrix, and endpoint incidents and implement permanent fixes.
- Manage networking and security services including firewalls, VPNs, VLANs, and wireless networks.
- Implement patching, security hardening, and compliance controls (e.g. ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials).
- Maintain backup, disaster recovery, automation, and technical documentation.
Requirements
- Strong experience with Citrix, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and Intune.
- Solid background in Windows Server, Active Directory, and virtualisation.
- Good understanding of networking fundamentals and security best practices.
- PowerShell scripting and automation experience.
- 3+ years in an infrastructure or systems engineering role, with 2nd/3rd line support experience.
- Relevant certifications desirable (Azure, Citrix, Microsoft 365, VMware).
