Job description

A leading defence organisation is seeking a System Integration Lead to drive the integration and verification of advanced missile systems. You'll take ownership of day-to-day technical delivery, coordinating functional integration, system verification, and compatibility testing across hardware, software, and munition equipment.

In this senior role, you'll collaborate with project stakeholders, mentor a small team of integration engineers, and ensure programmes deliver robust, high-performance systems. You'll also gain hands-on experience in planning and conducting integration and proving activities, supporting skills development and knowledge sharing across the team., * Lead and manage the technical delivery of functional integration and system verification activities.

  • Interface with customers and stakeholders to plan and achieve design verification objectives.

  • Mentor and support a small team of integration engineers, fostering knowledge sharing and skills development.

  • Apply practical, hands-on approaches to integration, compatibility, and testing activities.

  • Analyse system and subsystem behaviour to ensure robust performance and reliability.

Requirements

  • Degree-qualified (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline.

  • Solid understanding of hardware/software integration and test activities.

  • Experience with commercial lab test equipment and data analysis tools.

  • Practical problem-solving skills with creativity and adaptability.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with team leadership experience.

  • Knowledge of electronics technologies and complex systems is an advantage.
