Job description
In the position of Senior System Architect Combat Systems, you will be instrumental in defining and managing the system architecture and requirements specific to combat systems on naval platforms. This role requires a deep involvement in requirements definition and the full IVVQ (Integration, Verification, Validation, Qualification) cycle, ensuring that systems are fully compliant and integrated. You will act as a vital link between engineering teams and stakeholders, focusing on both technical performance and system behavior across all combat-related domains.
- Take ownership of the full lifecycle of system requirements, ensuring clarity, traceability, and alignment across all combat-related modules and subsystems. * Provide expert guidance on systems architecture and interface integration, while steering the development and analysis of high-level and detailed system requirements. * Lead integration, verification, validation, and qualification activities, ensuring all system deliverables meet the required specifications. * Maintain clear, effective communication between technical contributors and key decision-makers, offering authoritative insight on integration strategies. * Actively contribute to the resolution of non-functional requirements and promote continuous improvement in system engineering practices.
Requirements
- A Master's degree in a relevant technical discipline, combined with extensive experience in engineering or supplier management for complex systems, preferably in naval or maritime industries. * Strong understanding of combat systems and their integration within naval platforms. * Proficiency with requirements engineering tools such as IBM DOORS. * Ability to thrive in complex, multidisciplinary project teams. * Proven leadership or coordination experience in large-scale engineering projects. * Fluent command of English, both written and spoken, with the ability to comprehend technical documentation in German. * Ability to pass a rigorous background check, including security clearance. * Citizenship and passport of an EU country (non-EU citizens or those holding dual nationality, including non-EU, are not eligible due to defense project constraints).
