Job description
The Secure Networking Sales Consultant is an expert in secure networking and software sales. Their main goal is to find and secure new sales leads. They identify new opportunities from existing accounts and present solutions, value propositions, partner configurations, cost structures, and revenue models to clients. They spend a lot of time selling or supporting the sales process with Client Managers. They also work with pre-sales architects to create the best solution design for clients. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies for secure networking and software in the region/country.
- Share responsibility for winning strategies with sales teams, challenge sub-optimal RFPs, and focus on business value and insights to differentiate.
- Lead secure networking sales engagements, pricing, software contracts, and commercial terms.
- Act as the expert for Client Managers on secure networking and enterprise agreements, guiding clients to the best options.
- Create sales plans to position secure networking components with clients.
- Identify and drive upsell opportunities for Enterprise Agreements in secure networking.
- Maintain expertise in technology domains or solutions.
- Support sales closures with technology domain knowledge.
- Address technology challenges during the sales process.
- Stay updated on relevant products, software, and services to have meaningful conversations with clients.
- Keep aware of the competitive landscape, market pricing, and strategies to enter new markets.
Requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong questioning skills.
- Ability to collaborate with client-facing teams and internal stakeholders.
- Confident and assertive in expertise, able to facilitate business conversations.
- Deep understanding of IT operations and NTT service offerings.
- Expertise in solving client problems and finding viable solutions.
- Solid understanding of secure networking and Enterprise Agreements.
- Ability to explain the value and commercial aspects of secure networking and Enterprise Agreements.
- Knowledge of key vendor licensing models for secure networking.
- Proficiency in team selling and defining sales strategies.
- In-depth knowledge of competitors and successful sales strategies.
- Strong negotiation skills to create beneficial solutions for customers, partners, and the organization.
Academic Qualifications and Certifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in IT/systems, sales, or a related field.
- Preferred certifications: SPIN and/or Solution Selling, relevant technology and vendor certifications.
Required Experience
- Extensive experience in sales and/or technology (Systems Integration, Subscription Software Services, IT Management).
- Proven success in solution-based selling, especially in secure networking and Enterprise Agreements.
- Experience selling complex secure networking solutions and services to the C-Suite.
- High level of experience in account and/or client management.
