Network Engineer

We are seeking a hands-on Network Engineer to support our infrastructure in Düsseldorf. This is a highly technical, on-site role focusing on the physical and logical maintenance of network assets. You will be responsible for ensuring local connectivity and assisting our global network team with physical deployments., * On-site Diagnostics: Troubleshoot network outages and performance issues at the hardware level.

• Hardware Installations: Rack, stack, and cable routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Console Support: Use console access to provide "Remote Hands" for senior engineers during configuration changes.
• Site Maintenance: Perform hardware swaps, port patching, and structured cabling organization.
• ISP Coordination: Assist with the activation and testing of local internet circuits.

To be successful in this role, you must be proficient in using the following:

• Hardware Tools: Professional experience with a screw driver set for rack mounting and hardware disassembly.
• Connectivity: Ability to use a Console Cable (RJ45 to USB) for direct device management.
• Software: Must be fluent in using Putty (or similar terminal emulators) for CLI-based configuration and troubleshooting via Laptop.
• Network Logic: Solid understanding of the OSI model, particularly Layers 1, 2, and 3.

Language & Legal Requirements

• German: Fluent (C1 level) for local site coordination and vendor management.
• English: Professional proficiency for technical documentation and team communication.
• Work Authorization: A valid permit to work in Germany is required.
