Job description

Are you an experienced IT Engineer, with experience in or keen to work in Medical Devices? We are recruiting for an exciiting IT Connectivty Engineer to join our MedTech team. The IT Connectivity Engineer will work closely with our IT Connectivity Manager for MedTech, our medical device business stream. Our medical devices and pumps are vital to patient infusions whilst they're in hospital so IT connectivity is key to ensure the pumps remain up to date, effective and send accurate data to the healthcare professionals and patient records. The role can be home or hybrid based, but will involve some travel to customer sites (Hospitals) across the UK, so a full driving licence is essential, and a company car or car allowance will be provided. Our medical devices and pumps are vital to patient infusions whilst they're in hospital so IT connctivity is key to ensure the pumps remain up to date, effecitve and send accurate data to the healthcare professionals and patient records. The role is 35 hours per week Monday - Friday.

Our product portfolio included a comprehensive range of IV generic drugs, infusion therapies and clinical nutrition products as well as the medical devices for administering these products., * Work closely with the IT Connectivity Manager to proactively support customers by delivering IT and network solutions

  • Install software services and updates, both remotely and on customer premises/servers, providing a seamless service to the healthcare professionals who rely on our medical devices
  • Provide technical support to existing customers
  • Produce high-quality, low-level design (LLD) and configuration documentation as part of the solutions deployment
  • Assist with the creation of Scope of Works and project plans
  • Provide regular and timely reports and updates to the IT connectivity Manager and MedTech team

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science/Information Systems (or similar)
  • Industry experience
  • Good understanding of networks and servers
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills
  • Excellent problem solving / troubleshooting skills
  • The ability and willingness to travel across the UK to visit customer sites
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced environment with the capability to meet strict deadlines
  • Driven to learn and build knowledge by shadowing the IT Connectivity Manager and networking with colleagues across the MedTech team
  • Good organisational skills with the confidence to work autonomously
