Job description
We're looking for a Game Designer who is eager to continue developing their skills in a professional environment to join our team in Summer 2026 for 1 year.
In this role, you'll build upon your game design experience and have the opportunity to design intuitive, engaging interfaces and player flows for our games. You'll work closely with designers, artists, and engineers to ensure a polished, player-focused experience.
Our ideal candidate is someone who is currently enrolled in University and has a passion for game design and for video games themselves. We're looking for someone who is interested in game design UX/UI and mechanics. You will also have solid communication skills, able to work well in a team environment, and also independently.
What You'll Do:
- Design UX flows, HUDs, menus, and game interfaces.
- Create wireframes, mockups, and UI layouts.
- Maintain UI systems and style guides.
- Collaborate with game design and engineering teams.
- Iterate based on play testing and feedback., * Hybrid Working Arrangement: Our office in Cardiff is located right in City Centre, just a couple minutes away from the Cardiff Central Train Station! Requirements
Do you have experience in Usability?, * Enrolled in a Design degree (having completed Year 2 by June 2026).
- Strong understanding of game UX principles
- Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Suite or similar design tools.
- Strong communication skills.
- Passion for video games and knowledge of current industry trends.
What You May Also Have:
- Experience with personal or university projects in Unreal, Unity, or Godot.
- Motion UI or animation experience.
- Have experience with accessibility or usability testing.
