Job description

CMA Ships, a subsidiary of the CMA CGM Group, covers all facets of the maritime business: from the fleet management of the vessels to that of the crew members.CMA Ships is also a team of experts responsible for implementing innovative solutions and making CMA CGM vessels more energy efficient. YOUR ROLE The aim of this position is to ensure that the organization implements Data Governance best practices in accordance with Data Office Group policies and to improve data understanding and accessibility. WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO? As per company standard, you shall:

Comply with IMS and all relevant international rules and regulations; Ensure all your duties in accordance with quality, health, safety, environmental and ethics policies; Propose a continuous performance improvement plan which will be reported and reviewed on a periodical basis Act as a key player in deploying Data Governance by designing best practices, which follow the Data Governance Framework. Contribute to the understanding of the current data pain points and improve data quality. Ensure the proper rollout of the Data Governance roadmap for CMA Ships within the scope of key data initiatives. Understand business processes (in collaboration with CMA Ships Data Stewards) and connect them with underlying data processes. Maintain documentation of data catalogues and referential to frame and promote data culture. Define and organize data to meet operational and strategic needs. Implement a Data Quality framework which ensures continuous monitoring and improvement of data maturity. Ensure continuous monitoring and improvement of data maturity across CMA Ships according to CMA CGM Group standards.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Data Science, Business Administration, or a related field. Certification in Data Governance, Data Management, or related areas (DAMA-DMBOK, DCAM) is a plus.

Experience

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Data Governance, Data Management, or a similar role. Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive data initiatives. Experience in maritime or ship management is preferred.

Special knowledge and skills

Familiarity with Ship Management operations and ability to collaborate with its teams. Strong written and oral presentation skills, with clear and structured communication.

Technical job skills

Strong knowledge of Data practices (Data Management, Data Governance, Data Quality).
