(Senior) Factory 4.0 Database administrator

Our service is to bring assistance with a Consultant, in the context of a large-scale Industry 4.0 transformation program within a high-precision industrial manufacturing environment, involving modern data platforms, real-time industrial data flows, and demanding requirements in terms of robustness, performance, scalability, security, and traceability., 1. Tasks related to supporting projects by facilitating communication between stakeholders and progress toward objectives

• Act as a full member of the SAM project team
• Collaborate closely with DSI teams
• Interface with internal teams including UNS, MES, PLM, and Data & AI
• Interface with DSI stakeholders covering infrastructures, networks, operability, and performance
• Provide constructive and benevolent critical feedback on expressed requirements
• Continuously propose improvement opportunities

2. Tasks related to supporting projects through rational and data-driven assessments (costs, quality, timelines, decision support)

• Acquire in-depth technical knowledge of existing information systems
• Analyze data flows, database queries, and data structures
• Test database technical qualities including robustness, performance, scalability, security, and traceability
• Identify technical and operational issues
• Measure database performance

3. Tasks related to supporting projects through high-quality, detail-oriented execution and delivery

• Define the database administration policy
• Resolve identified technical issues
• Optimize database performance
• Participate in the design of database server architectures
• Participate in the fine-tuning of database servers
• Configure databases to ensure reliability, performance, security, scalability, and operability

Do you have experience in ServiceNow?, * Engineering degree or experienced technical background in IT

• Minimum 3 years of proven experience in database administration within demanding and high-volume environments
• Strong expertise in PostgreSQL and SQL Server administration
• Solid experience in database performance optimization
• Knowledge of large-scale information system database operations
• Familiarity with Big Data platforms and Data Lakes
• Exposure to industrial environments and MES is an asset
• Knowledge of InfluxDB is an asset
• Experience with OpenShift or Kubernetes is an asset
• Familiarity with ITSM tools, preferably ServiceNow
• Exposure to public cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is an asset
• Professional DBA certification (technology-agnostic accepted)
• Strong analytical mindset, structured working methodology, and technical curiosity
• Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary teams
• An entrepreneurial experience or ambition is a plus (extra-professional or extra-academic is a great start)
• Immediate availability is preferred
• Valid single permit for non-EU citizens
