Job description
Our service is to bring assistance with a Consultant, in the context of a Manufacturing 4.0 modernization program for an industrial environment where production is driven by industrial systems data (machines, sensors, MES, quality and production), with strong expectations on governance, reliability, and operational performance monitoring through end-to-end Business Intelligence solutions., Supporting projects by facilitating communication between stakeholders and progress towards objectives
- Collaborate with IT and data teams for the integration of BI solutions into the existing ecosystem and deployment processes
- Document BI solutions developed and share best practices within the team
Supporting projects with rational and data-driven assessments (costs, quality, timelines, objective analysis)
- Explore, analyze and prepare data from industrial systems (machines, sensors, MES, quality, production) for reporting and steering purposes
- Understand decision-making needs and constraints related to industrial data through analytical work
- Ensure the quality, consistency and traceability of production indicators, and propose continuous improvements
Supporting projects through high-quality and detail-oriented execution
- Design and maintain decision-making models and analytical datasets adapted to industrial constraints
- Develop BI dashboards and reports enabling the monitoring of operational, quality, performance and continuous improvement indicators
- Implement reliable and industrialized data preparation and refresh pipelines
- Deploy and maintain BI content (reports, datasets, dashboards) in Power BI Service, in compliance with environments and governance rules
Requirements
Do you have experience in SQL?, * Engineering or university degree (business intelligence, data, information systems, statistics) or equivalent
- Confirmed experience (minimum 5 years) as a BI Specialist / BI Analyst / BI Consultant, ideally in an industrial or highly constrained operational environment
- Strong expertise in exploiting, structuring, and modeling data from heterogeneous sources
- Ability to define and maintain reliable, high-performance, and documented data flows between source systems and analytical layers
- Strong sensitivity to data quality, traceability, and KPI consistency
- Very good command of data transformation tools and languages (Power Query, SQL, optionally Python) for feeding and optimizing BI models
- Experience with an analytical platform such as Snowflake (or equivalent) is an asset
- Very good command of Power BI and its ecosystem (Power BI Report Server, Power BI Service)
- Expertise in designing high value-added dashboards and decision-support reports focused on operational performance and business steering
- Ability to work closely with IT teams, data engineers, and business teams to translate operational needs into relevant and robust BI solutions
- Ability to facilitate workshops/meetings and formalize business needs into structured Data/BI solutions
- Strong communication skills and ability to make data topics understandable for non-specialists
- Strong interpersonal skills, appreciation for teamwork, with autonomy, rigor, and initiative
- No mandatory certification; data or Power BI certifications are a plus
- Fluent in French (spoken and written); able to read and write documentation in English
- An entrepreneurial experience or ambition is a plus (extra-professional or extra-academic is a great start)
- Immediate availability is preferred
- Valid single permit for non-EU citizens
