We are looking for a Backend Developer to join our Technology department. We seek talented, motivated individuals eager to contribute to the development of secure, scalable, and high-performance backend services that power our internal and external solutions.

The role will be based at our new, additional, technology site in Alicante, Spain. Backed by over 1,700 technologists worldwide based across our three key technology centres \u2013 our primary technology hub in Geneva (Switzerland), supported by Madrid (Spain), and Malm\u00f6 (Sweden), and powered by one of Europe's largest IoT platforms, we're building something big, and we're just getting started in Alicante.

Join our IT Mkt & Sales team to design and develop high-quality backend services and APIs and contribute to scalable architectures and solutions integrated with other internal systems. You will participate in the full development cycle: from technical analysis to delivery and maintenance. If you enjoy collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in agile environments and applying best practices in development, security, and DevOps, this role is for you.

You are a backend developer with solid experience in Java and microservices architecture. You understand how backend systems support real-world operational processes. You have a DevOps mindset and thrive in collaborative, multicultural environments.

• Over 3 years of experience as a backend developer.
• Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.
• Experience with REST APIs, relational and non-relational databases (SQL, MongoDB).
• Familiarity with messaging systems like Kafka.
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and event-driven architectures.
• Good level of English and Spanish.
• DevOps mindset and experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
