An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Asset Management Officer to work within our GIS Team. This post reports to the Group GIS Manager and sits within Strategic Asset Management Department
In this pivotal role, you will assist with the configuration and development of our Geographical Information System. You will assist with the maintenance and updating of systems for the retention of information relating to individual properties and landholdings.
Other duties will include ensuring that all known information is entered onto the relevant system and cross checking such information with other available sources, including liaising with other departments and outside agencies. The ability to ensure the ongoing integrity of asset data for both new properties and to ensure any changes to existing properties are made according to the correct policy or procedure.
You will also maintain and update a definitive property list as well as obtaining further information as required as a result of new demands, modernisation or re-development.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Power BI?, For this role you will require an HNC/Degree or a minimum of 5 years` experience of working in a Housing Association. You will be IT literate and be able to use high level database reporting tools (eg Business Objects, Power BI). You will be able to collect, manipulate and analyse data including recognising trends and drawing conclusions.
You will be responsible for producing reports and keeping the property database up to date and accurate. You will definitely require an eye for detail and be highly competent when working with spreadsheets.
You will be able to work accurately under pressure and to deadlines and you feel confident to provide training and support to colleagues in respect of the GIS applications.
