Job description
We are seeking an experienced and highly organised School Data Manager to join our administrative team. This is a key role supporting school leadership by managing, analysing and reporting on pupil and school performance data to drive improvement and ensure statutory compliance.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will be an experience and highly organised professional with a strong understanding of data management within a secondary school setting. They will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity and effective use of data to support school improvement and accountability.
The successful candidate will:
- Have proven experience working with data in a secondary school, ideally in a Data Manager or similar role Demonstrate strong working knowledge of a school MIS (such as SIMS, Arbor, Bromcom or equivalent) Have a secure understanding of secondary assessment, progress tracking and performance measures Be experienced in managing statutory data returns, including School Census, secondary assessment, progress, tracking and performance measures Be experienced in managing statutory data returns, including School Census, attendance and examination data Show exceptional attention to details and a commitment to data accuracy and confidentiality Be confident analysing and presenting data clearly to senior leaders, governors and other stakeholders Possess strong IT skills, particularly in Excel and data reporting tools Be able to manage competing deadlines effectively and work calmly under pressure Desirable attributes include experience with examination entries and results analysis, knowledge of GPDR and data protection in schools, and a proactive approach to improving data systems and processes
