Job description

  • Evaluate and assess ICT architectures for feasibility and compliance.
  • Develop and update ICT architecture according to procurement strategy.
  • Create and maintain architecture documentation and specifications., For an external client project in the greater Zurich area, we are looking for an experienced, competent individual for the position of Senior Consultant ICT Architecture at senior level (from 5 years) starting from 01.07.2026 Brief description: Together with the supplier, review ICT architectures, assess them in terms of feasibility, implementability, and the requirements of the service recipient, develop and coordinate alternative ICT architectures if necessary.

Main tasks:

  • Develop solution proposals and decision bases based on requirements
  • Develop and update the ICT architecture in accordance with the ICT strategy of the purchasing community
  • Create and maintain documentation in the area of architecture
  • Assess, review, and if necessary develop ICT architecture concepts
  • Develop and enforce quality standards in ICT architectures Plan and conduct design reviews
  • Capture requirements and create specifications such as interface concepts, integration concepts

Requirements

  • Degree in (business) informatics or equivalent with further training.
  • Over 5 years of experience in complex ICT architecture.
  • Fluent in German (C1) and good English skills, both written and spoken., * University degree/FH degree in (business) informatics or training as an IT specialist EFZ and corresponding further training
  • Further training in ICT architecture (e.g., TOGAF certification)
  • Further training in ICT service design and requirements management is an advantage

Knowledge and professional experience:

  • More than five years of professional experience in the field Experience in developing, implementing, and assessing complex ICT architectures (applications, data, interfaces)

  • Experience in ICT requirements management

  • Experience in ICT service design

  • Experience in collaboration with public administration (police organizations and other blue light organizations/intelligence service preferred)

Additional requirements:

  • Very good German skills (at least level C1) and good English skills, spoken and written
  • Impeccable reputation, acceptance of a personal security check and signing of the confidentiality agreement
  • Ability to advise and solve problems in demanding and complex issues
  • Good analytical skills
