Job description
For an external customer project in the greater Zurich area, we are looking for an experienced, competent individual for the position of Consultant Penetration Testing at the senior level (from 5 years) starting from 01.07.2026 Brief description: Planning, conception, and execution of penetration tests of ICT services and components (especially "White Box" testing). Reporting and providing recommendations for fixing vulnerabilities and improving security, as well as reviewing the implemented measures.
Main tasks:
- Planning, conception, and execution of penetration tests for applications, systems, and networks
- Review of specifications, system installations, configurations, and source code to identify potential vulnerabilities
- Reporting on identified vulnerabilities and providing recommendations for their remediation
- Recommendations for hardening guidelines
Requirements
- Degree in computer science or related field; certifications preferred.
- Over 5 years of experience in penetration testing.
- Strong analytical skills and fluency in German and English., * University degree/FH degree in (business) computer science or training as an IT specialist EFZ and corresponding further training
- Further training in ICT security and penetration testing, certification advantageous (e.g., CISSP, CHFI)
Knowledge and professional experience:
- More than five years of professional experience in the field
- Experience in penetration testing of applications, systems, and networks, TGA, OT; especially following the "White Box" approach
- Experience with reverse engineering of programs and protocols and with source code review
- Experience in creating and conducting audits and ISDS concepts in the security area
- Experience in collaboration with public administration (police organizations and other blue light organizations/intelligence service preferred)
Additional requirements:
- Very good German skills (at least level C1) and good English skills, spoken and written
- Impeccable reputation, acceptance of a personal security check, and signing of the confidentiality agreement
- Ability to advise and solve problems in demanding and complex issues
- Good analytical skills
