Job description
Artemisa is an International Chair in Cybersecurity. The main purpose of the ARTEMISA is to provide society with the necessary tools to understand and face the security challenges that arise in the digital environment, considering a multidisciplinary approach and emphasizing the importance of regulation and legislation in this area. Strengthening collaboration between the university and the business network is another of the objectives of the chair. In addition, ARTEMISA emphasizes the importance of encouraging the active participation and empowerment of women in this field, with the aim of contributing to closing the gender gap and promoting diversity and inclusion in cybersecurity. There is an educational branch of Artemisa's Chair that gives support for transferring knowledge. It includes many actions, among them, the creation of innovative material for the students of subjects related with Cybersecurity in the University. This material must include:

Organization and execution of a Hackathon for the Cryptography and Security course, fostering the application of theoretical concepts to practical, real-world challenges.

Comprehensive lecture notes for the Blockchain Technologies course at UPF. These notes must cover the theoretical fundamentals of blockchain technologies, including cryptographic primitives and consensus algorithms, while emphasizing real-world applications and use cases.

Introductory materials on the Solidity programming language, focusing on smart contract development.

Practical examples and exercises designed to deepen the understanding of distributed systems, decentralized applications (DApps), and their practical implementation.

Hands-on laboratory guidelines and assignments for student practice.

Audiovisual material to support and illustrate the theoretical concepts., * Qualifying proposals will be reviewed by the selection committee, formed by representatives of ARTEMISA International Chair of Cybersecurity.

A maximum of 3 to 5 applicants will be selected for an interview with the selection committee.

Selected applicants will sign a contract and a responsible declaration with UPF which will include specific requirements following UPF's practices regarding contracts.

All applicants will be notified of the committee's decision in February.

Requirements
PhD or equivalent, * Research and teaching experience in blockchain technologies, distributed ledgers, and cryptography.
- Proven experience in innovation projects.
- Individual researchers or experts working as professionals worldwide.
- Fluency in written English is required (B2-C2 level), as the material will be delivered in English.
- Applicants must be eligible to participate in public contracting according to the legislation of their country.
Benefits & conditions
- (1) A cover letter of one page introducing the expert and summarizing the proposal.
- (2) An up-to-date CV of the expert.
- (3) Budget (total length of 1 page), detailing expenses to a maximum of €10,000 (gross). All expenses in the budget must be appropriately justified. Please note that the compensations are indicated as gross compensation, which means that the employer´s (UPF) taxes will be applied.
Years of Research Experience: 1 - 4, The selected expert will receive a gross financial compensation of a maximum of €10,000. The amount of nominal payment is expected to be paid at the final delivery.
