Job description

You will join a successful international insurance company who specialise in commercial insurance and reinsurance products. My client is looking for an experienced Analytics Engineer to join their Business Information & Analytics team to support the delivery of data analytics solutions that enable strategic decision-making. You will also work closely with senior stakeholders to translate business needs into actionable data solutions., * Develop and deliver data analytics solutions that align with business goals and strategic needs.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and define actionable data solutions.
  • Provide analytical consultancy across projects, identifying opportunities for innovation and process optimisation.
  • Promote best practices in data management, modelling, analytics, and the adoption of modern tools and methodologies.
  • Support planning and implementation of changes to data warehouse, reporting, and analytics platforms in collaboration with product and technical teams.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory, compliance, and internal policy requirements relevant to the role, including data protection, conduct standards, and operational controls.

Requirements

  • Proficient in data analysis, reconciliation, and testing methodologies, with a solid understanding of database design, data modelling, and data governance best practices.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, Power BI and Microsoft Suite
  • Python experience
  • Good knowledge of data warehousing, stored procedures and pipelining
  • Strong stakeholder management
  • Experience collaborating across business, technical, and support functions, driving alignment and shared outcomes.
  • Financial services experience (Insurance experience preferred)
