WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

  • Updating and maintaining the information held on our GIS business systems.

  • Resolving issues that arise between different data layers and opposing co-ordinate systems across the applications utilised in the business.

  • Publishing online maps and data which can be viewed and shared within the organisation or with the public.

  • Survey areas that have incomplete or missing GIS or Telecoms Physical Infrastructure data

  • Identifying asset types and dimensions and recording them accurately

  • Assist in the maintenance of up to date and accurate records of all network inventory from the Fibrus build programme.

  • Support with the upkeep and management of data used in Fibrus GIS products.

  • Producing ModelBuilder's or automation workflows utilising ArcPy

Requirements

Do you have experience in Telecommunication?, * The ideal candidate will be a passionate recent Graduate eager to pursue a career in GIS and may come from a GIS/CAD/BIM background.

  • You will be experienced in the use of ESRI ArcGIS Desktop and ArcGIS Pro, web GIS in ArcGIS Online/ Portal for ArcGIS

  • Other open-source GIS/CAD/BIM skills are also desirable.

  • You will have experience in a variety of data sources and data formats and using Arcade, Python, ModelBuilder & Dynamo.

  • Understanding of Feature Manipulation Engines (FME) and other automated processes.

  • Knowledge of Ordnance Survey suite of mapping products beneficial

  • You will have practical knowledge of interactive web-based GIS and/or enterprise GIS technologies.

Desirable:

  • An understanding of Fibre Optics in a Telecoms environment.

  • BIM and/or 3D GIS knowledge.

  • Basic understanding of surveying or field-based data capture experience.
