Job description

I've worked with this team for over 7 years, and they genuinely get better every year. They're on a mission to equip investors with the tools to steward their capital responsibly - giving people visibility and a real voice over where their money goes, and the impact it has.

They've built an industry-leading platform that's changing how shareholder voting works (for good), and they're now scaling both their core infrastructure and a brand-new AI product that's a genuine game-changer.

We're hiring multiple engineers across the team, including a Platform Engineer to help build and scale the foundations everything else runs on. The role

As a Platform Engineer, you'll focus on the reliability, scalability, and developer experience of the platform. You'll work closely with product and application engineers to ensure the infrastructure, tooling, and deployment pipelines enable teams to ship safely, quickly, and with confidence.

This is a hands-on role with real ownership - you'll be close to production, close to decisions, and have a tangible impact on how the platform scales as the company grows. What you'll be doing

  • Designing and maintaining scalable, resilient cloud infrastructure
  • Building and improving CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows
  • Improving observability, monitoring, and incident response practices
  • Supporting platform reliability for large-scale voting operations
  • Enabling application teams through better tooling, automation, and documentation
  • Working on infrastructure that supports AI-enabled products and data workloads
  • Refactoring and modernising existing platform services where needed

Requirements

  • Strong engineering fundamentals and a platform / infrastructure mindset
  • Experience working with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP or similar)
  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, Pulumi, etc.)
  • Experience supporting production systems and improving reliability
  • Familiarity with containers, orchestration, and deployment tooling
  • A pragmatic, problem-solving approach - you care about outcomes, not just tools

Benefits & conditions

Why them

  • Real ownership over meaningful, mission-driven systems
  • Engineers close to production and decision-making
  • A culture that values learning, feedback, and continuous improvement
  • The chance to shape how capital markets behave - for the better
  • ? 5-star Glassdoor reviews

Process & benefits

  • 3-stage interview process (including a technical exercise)
  • Salary £50k-£85k DOE + equity
  • Enhanced maternity & paternity leave
  • Wellness budget
  • Private healthcare
  • Flexible working hours
  • Hybrid setup - encouraged 1 day per week in the Bristol office
  • Monthly company-wide get-togethers
