Job description

This role requires a self-motivated individual with a passion for technology and a commitment to delivering exceptional service to our colleagues and clients. As a key team member of Group IT team, the role holder's key duties will be:

· Infrastructure Management: Work with our private cloud partner to ensure the Cloud infrastructure is running optimally for our users as well as ensuring the security and connectivity are maintained to agreed SLA's.

o Private Cloud Applications and services include (but not limited to):

· Private Cloud Data Centre - Hosted Servers and Subscriptions

· SQL Server \ Dynamics AX 2012

· Citrix

· Data Transformation\Reporting Tools (i.e. Atlas, Time Xtender, Medius)

· Auxiliary Applications (i.e. LM Prog & Quality Work Bench)

o Connectivity - VPN, Leased lines, SD Wan & Firewalls

· Service Management: Monitor and manage Incident and Request queues for our Cloud Partner to ensure progress is made.

· Continuous Improvement Planning: Work with Group IT Manager to plan and implement roadmap for continuous improvement and future projects.

· Business Continuity (BCP) and Disaster Recovery (DR) Planning: Involvement in development of BCP and DR strategies, including running Business Impact Analysis (BIA) for our private cloud services & applications. Ensure Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans are being complied with (e.g. Backup strategy is adhered too, backups are tested etc.) so that we can hit both Recovery Time and Recovery Point Objectives.

· Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues: Provide support for hardware, software, and network issues via the departments service desk.

· User support: Assist users with IT-related problems, answering queries, and providing training where necessary.

· System maintenance: Perform and monitor updates, backups, and preventive maintenance on all IT systems.

· Security: Contribute to the implementation and monitoring of security measures to safeguard organisational data.

· Project involvement: Participate in IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and installations.

· Vendor liaison: Work with third-party vendors to ensure timely resolution of issues and successful implementation of new systems.

Requirements

Qualifications & Skills needed:

· Minimum of 4 years of experience in IT support or a similar role.

· Advanced firewalls

· Citrix

· Microsoft Dynamics AX

· Proficiency in Windows desktop and server operating systems.

· Demonstratable ability to manage objects within Entra ID, Exchange Online and MS365 Admin centre.

· Knowledge of networking protocols and hardware (Wired & Wireless).

· Experience with virtualisation technologies.

· Familiarity with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure).

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications & Skills - preferred:

· Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

· Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals

· Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate

· Cisco Certified: CCNA

· Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Administrator (PCNSA)

· Fortinet NSE (Network Security Expert) Certification
