Job description
Service Desk administration: Ensure the departments Service Desk is up to date, drive continuous improvement for processes within the service desk and lead weekly Service Desk review meetings to confirm state of all tickets is accurate and SLA's are being met.
Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues: Provide support for hardware, software, and network issues.
User support: Assist users with IT-related problems, answering queries, and providing training where necessary.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of IT assets and Users. Provide accurate user work instructions and IT technical documentation for incidents, problems or projects completed. Produce KPI reports for both Service Desk and Asset databases.
System maintenance: Perform and monitor updates, backups, and preventive maintenance on all IT systems.
Security: Contribute to the implementation and monitoring of security measures to safeguard organizational data.
Project involvement: Participate in IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and installations.
Vendor liaison: Work with third-party vendors to ensure timely resolution of issues and successful implementation of new systems.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS NEEDED:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support or similar role.
- Proficiency in Windows desktop and server operating systems.
- Demonstratable ability to manage objects within Entra ID, Exchange Online and MS365 Admin centre.
- Knowledge of networking protocols and hardware (Wired & Wireless).
- Experience with virtualization technologies.
- Familiarity with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS - PREFERRED:
- Higher National Diploma in Information Technology, or a related field.
- CompTIA: A+, Network+ and Security+ certification
- Microsoft Certified: Windows Fundamentals (MTA)
