Job description

Reporting to the Senior Insight Manager, the Data & Insight Officer will provide essential project support across both our Data and Project & Business teams.

The role will support the Data team in the preparation, handling, and analysis of a wide range of quantitative data sets, while also assisting Project Managers in the delivery of predominantly quantitative research projects on behalf of our clients.

You will have a strong quantitative bias and a solid understanding of the software, tools, and research techniques used in quantitative research including scripting surveys, importing and analysing large-volume datasets. You will have a working knowledge of a programming language such as Python and will have responsibility for trouble shooting Python scripts and also managing SQL Databases.

You will also play a key role in maintaining project quality, ensuring compliance with ISO and GDPR standards, and supporting the smooth delivery of projects within scope, budget, and timelines.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Supervising experience?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, To succeed in this role, you will bring a relevant degree or postgraduate qualification, ideally with a data or analysis specialism. You will have experience importing, analysing, and interpreting quantitative (and some qualitative) datasets to produce high-quality insight and reporting.

You will possess strong IT and numeracy skills, alongside clear and effective verbal and written communication skills.

Requirements

Knowledge

  • Developed understanding of research principles and ethics
  • Strong awareness of emerging trends within data and research, particularly relating to data and AI, * Relevant degree or postgraduate qualification with a data analysis focus
  • Experience importing, analysing, and interpreting quantitative and qualitative datasets
  • Experience delivering quantitative analysis projects
  • Experience in a similar research-based role (desirable)

Skills

  • Strong IT and technical skills, with experience using tools such as Excel, Power BI, and database applications
  • Demonstrable working knowledge of a programming language (for example, Python), sufficient to understand existing code and develop solutions.
  • Strong numeracy and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with colleagues and clients at all levels
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects effectively
  • Ability to develop and implement computational solutions using coding best practices
