Comast Construction Limited are a medium size construction company based in East London, As we continue to grow, we are seeking a skilled Document Controller to join our team and contribute to our success.
Job Overview: We are looking for a detail-oriented and organised Document Controller to manage all aspects of document control within our business. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, accessibility, and security of all company documents, including but not limited to technical specifications, project plans, regulatory documents, and internal communications.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain document control procedures in accordance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the creation, distribution, and archiving of documents, both electronic and hard copy.
- Ensure that all documents are accurately labelled, indexed, and stored in a manner that allows for easy retrieval.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement document management strategies that improve efficiency and productivity.
- Conduct regular audits to verify compliance with document control procedures and identify areas for improvement.
- Provide support and guidance to staff regarding document control procedures and assist in uploading to client portals.
- Maintain accurate computer and paper-based records, logging distributed documents.
- Process responses to documents issued.
- Chase responses to documents issued where required.
- Administer requests for information.
- Remain up to date with all company policies and procedures, industry legislation and guidance applicable relating to document control including the various client interface systems.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Organizational skills?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, * Proven experience in document control or a related field.
- Strong understanding of document management systems and software.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrable knowledge and experience of operating IT systems, i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
Benefits & conditions
Immediate start is preferred or within a 4 week notice period. Remuneration will be circa £28k to £32k, based on experience.
