Job description
As a People Data Insight & Governance Analyst, you will be working as part of the People function, your role will be focused on turning data into actionable insight that informs strategic and operational decisions. The postholder will interpret trends, identify opportunities, and provide clear recommendations using established reporting assets. In addition, they will manage Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs) via Microsoft Purview and maintain core data governance processes to ensure compliance and data integrity.
Requirements
Do you have experience in T-SQL?, * Proven experience in data analysis, insight generation, and data governance within a similar analytics or data management role.
- Strong curiosity and ability to interpret business requirements.
- Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insight and communicate recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Experience capturing, cleansing, and combining data from multiple sources for robust analysis.
- Excellent attention to detail, statistical knowledge, and ability to resolve data issues to maintain integrity.
- Advanced skills in Power BI (data modelling, DAX, Power Query/M), SQL (T-SQL/SQL Server or equivalent), and Excel for reporting and analysis.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview (eDiscovery/Content Search), including KQL queries, review set management, and export for DSAR fulfilment.
- Working knowledge of data governance frameworks (DAMA or similar), data cataloguing, business glossary, and metadata stewardship.
- Familiarity with GDPR/UK DPA 2018, data subject rights, and records/retention requirements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage with colleagues and external partners on data and governance matters.
