Job description
Documenter controller wanted on a full time basis for this Hertfordshire based main contractor who have been established for over 25 years. Due to a full order book and continued pipeline of work for the next 5 years they are looking for someone to join their successful team and help with each project that comes online. The company focus on both residential and commercial projects ranging in value from 3 million to 30 million and now have an opportunity for an experienced Document Controller to join their business.
Duties will include:
- Maintaining key project information for the site team
- Provide administrative support for the technical and site staff
- Attend site and design meetings to ensure that the information required by site is delivered
- Actively maintain the register for all drawings and specifications supplied by the design team, contractors and subcontractors
- Carry out quality assurance checks on all information uploaded.
- Ensure all documents are up to date and completed and named correctly prior to internal or external audits.
- To prepare, print and distribute reports, minutes and file notes
- Assist in issuing information, drawings and packages to subcontractors and consultants
Previous experience and qualities needed
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Document Controller
- Experience of providing a high level of administrative support on a construction site
- Experience of working on construction projects with another contractor or developer
- Must be computer literate with a solid working knowledge of Word, Excel, Adobe and Microsoft office software
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Be self motivated and be able to manage workloads effectively
