Job description

We empower retailers with innovative features and cutting-edge technology designed to enhance their EPOS experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive field support service to all Henderson Technology customers. Working as Field Engineer you will:

  • Maintenance and repair of all Henderson Technology supplied equipment and infrastructure on customer sites
  • Assisting, as required, in the installation process of new technologies supplied by Henderson Technology
  • Managing the effective control of parts and stock spares, and the process of warranty returns and fixes
  • Maintaining fault reports and providing accurate information to both the Helpdesk team and customers to ensure issues are dealt with efficiently
  • Escalation of major issues as required

Requirements

Do you have a valid Driving Licence license?, Do you have experience in WAN?, * A minimum of two years' experience in an IT support or field service role

  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems
  • Thorough knowledge of TCP/IP networking to include LAN and WAN architecture
  • Experience of PC diagnosis and repairs
  • A full valid EU/ UK driving licence

  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise work and escalate where necessary

It is Desirable if you have:

  • Experience of using remote support tools and techniques
  • Previous experience of retail EPoS system technologies
  • Experience of convenience retailing business processes

This is a full-time position working 36.5 hours per week. Working hours will be five days out of seven: 8:45am-4:45pm Monday to Thursday and 8:45am-3:45pm on Friday.
