Job description

As Group Portfolio Manager, you will play a central role in shaping, structuring, and governing Sonepar's global IT portfolio. Based at Group headquarters in Paris, you will work closely with country CIOs, CFOs, and corporate functions to ensure that IT investments are aligned with Group strategy, architectural standards, and business priorities.

Main responsibilities

Demand & Portfolio Management - Lead the consolidation and structuring of IT demand across all Sonepar countries and Group functions - Define and operate clear demand intake, qualification, and prioritization processes - Ensure alignment with Group strategy, transformation roadmap, and budget cycles - Provide end-to-end visibility on initiatives, investments, dependencies, risks, and expected value

Project Portfolio Governance - Manage the Group IT project portfolio across business and technology domains - Support portfolio-level prioritization and arbitration with senior stakeholders - Monitor execution, financials, benefits realization, and key risks - Prepare high-quality portfolio reporting for Group IT leadership and executive committees Application Portfolio Management - Maintain and continuously improve the Group application portfolio view (business, technical, financial) - Support application rationalization, standardization, and lifecycle management initiatives - Ensure consistency between applications, business capabilities, and target architecture Architecture & Standards - Contribute to the definition and evolution of Group architecture principles and standards - Ensure that demands and projects comply with target architecture and technology guidelines - Act as a key interface between Enterprise Architecture and delivery teams International Coordination - Work closely with country CIOs and IT teams in a highly international environment - Foster cross-country alignment, reuse of solutions, and best practices - Support the integration of newly acquired companies into Group governance and standards, The role - Your daily activities will be interesting, stimulating and varied... Requirements

Do you have experience in IT?, * 8+ years of experience in IT portfolio management, PMO, enterprise applications, or enterprise architecture

  • Proven track record in large, international, and decentralized organizations
  • Strong exposure to demand management, project portfolio management, and application landscapes
  • Experience with ERP, supply chain, finance, or omnichannel environments is a strong advantage

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong analytical and structuring capabilities with the ability to synthesize complex portfolios

  • Solid understanding of IT governance and enterprise architecture concepts

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Ability to influence and drive alignment without direct authority

Structured, pragmatic, and results-oriented

  • Collaborative, service-minded, and comfortable in transformation contexts
  • Able to operate at both strategic and hands-on level, Fluent written and spoken English. French is a nice to have
