IT Engineer

• In this role, you will ensure the smooth delivery of ICT services to our school. You'll work closely with the IT manager and the wider team to address issues and maintain the school's server infrastructure and core network. You will serve as an escalation point for junior team members, resolving and troubleshooting technical issues while escalating critical issues to the IT manager when necessary. Your responsibilities will also include supporting critical hardware and software issues, as well as assisting staff and pupils across the school.

• To succeed in this role, we expect you to be an experienced IT Engineer with a solid background at the 2nd line level. Ideally, you will have previous experience in the education sector, although this is not essential. Proficiency with the M365 stack and Azure Active Directory is required. You should also have experience troubleshooting iPads, Macs, and Mobile Device Management (MDM) systems. Additionally, exposure to complex networks and virtualized environments, particularly VMware, is important. Strong time management skills, a self-starter mindset, and the ability to develop good relationships with stakeholders across the school are essential. Hands-on experience with systems like inTune will be a plus.

We are a well-known school located in the heart of Bristol, currently seeking to recruit a permanent IT Engineer for our IT services department.
