IT Infrastructure Project Engineer

• As an Infrastructure Project Engineer, you will:
• Take the technical lead on a diverse range of exciting IT infrastructure projects.
• Be responsible for design, configuration, migration, and testing of the latest technologies.
• Conduct project kick-off meetings with customers, both face-to-face and via MS Teams.
• Write Detailed Design documents (DD) and User Acceptance documents (UAT).
• Pre-stage hardware and ensure effective build, configuration, and testing.
• Manage the migration of services, data, and applications.
• Conduct customer handover and knowledge transfer.
• Facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and sign-off.
• Document system configurations.
• Occasionally provide 3rd line support and act as a point of escalation for our service desk.
• Work in a mix of remote settings (2 days per week), office-based, and on customer sites. Travel is a regular aspect of the job, so a clean, full driver's license and access to your own car are required.

• At least some proven implementation experience in the following areas:
• • Windows Server ecosystem (ideally Windows 2016 or later).
• • Cloud solutions (Azure IaaS, Office 365/Microsoft 365, Intune, Google Workspace).
• • Enterprise server hardware (ideally Dell or HP, including firmware and BIOS updates and RAID configuration).
• • Virtualization technologies (ideally Azure Stack, Hyper-V, and Failover Clusters).
• • System Management through SCCM, WSUS, and WDS/MDT.
• • Azure AD and Active Directory, including DNS and Group Policy.
• • NTFS, Network Shares, DFS.
• • Networking, including IP addressing, routing, and VLANs.
• • Experience with UTM firewalls/web filter appliances (ideally Watchguard).
• • Veeam Backup & Replication.
• Industry-recognized certifications from Microsoft (e.g., MCSA and MCSE) are highly desirable.

The basic salary for this position is £35,000 plus a car allowance, along with generous benefits that include 25 days of holiday plus bank holidays and a pension scheme with employer contributions of 5%.
