Job description

  • Deliver technical support and assistance across various platforms including Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software issues related to applications, network connectivity, and hardware malfunctions.
  • Manage and support computer hardware, LAN, VPN, firewall configurations, and other network components.
  • Utilise tools such as BMC Remedy, ServiceNow, and Jira to log incidents, track progress, and manage service requests efficiently.
  • Assist users via help desk channels by providing clear communication and effective solutions.
  • Support desktop support activities including installation, configuration, and maintenance of computers and peripherals.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to implement system upgrades and security measures to safeguard organisational data.
  • Maintain documentation of procedures and technical configurations to ensure consistency and compliance.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting software and hardware issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure.   • Proven experience in software troubleshooting and technical support within a help desk environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with remote support tools.
  • Experience with incident management platforms such as BMC Remedy or ServiceNow is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
