You're a strategic IT manager who thrives on turning vision into reality. You enjoy balancing strategy and planning with hands on operational delivery, ensuring technology services are stable, secure, and continually improving.
You're comfortable managing multi level teams, making complex decisions, and working closely with stakeholders across the business to deliver IT services that genuinely support organisational goals. You're forward thinking, financially accountable, and passionate about using modern technologies, including AI, to drive productivity and operational excellence.
What you'll do:
- Define, implement, and operate the short to medium term strategy, translating goals into clear roadmaps and measurable plans
- Lead and develop the Business IT function, fostering performance, engagement and career development
- Ensure 24/7 availability, resilience, and performance of business critical applications and platforms
- Drive operational excellence across service delivery, incident management, asset lifecycle, and support processes
- Shape and enforce IT policies, governance, and service standards
- Own and manage budgets across M365, applications, platforms, and IT assets, ensuring efficient and value driven spend
- Maintain a forward looing delivery plan, anticipating business needs, risks, and technology developments
- Partner closely with Security, Risk, Compliance, Finance, People teams and wider stakeholders
- Embed the effective use of AI tooling to improve productivity and service outcomes
- Continuously improve performance through reporting, metrics, and proactive problem solving
Requirements
Do you have experience in SaaS?, * Proven experience defining and delivering IT strategy within a Business IT or service led environment
- Leadership experience managing multi level technical teams and operational functions
- Deep understanding of end to end IT operations, service management, and ITIL practices
- Experience overseeing M365 environments, cloud first/SaaS platforms, and application lifecycles
- Knowledge of IT risk, security best practice, and governance frameworks
- Financial acumen with experience of owning budgets and driving cost efficiency
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- A continuous improvement mindset with strong problem solving capability
- Familiarity with AI tools such as M365 Copilot and modern productivity platforms (and an interest in driving adoption)
