Job description
- Work alongside senior leaders to grow PPL Data & Analytics' client base, range of products, team, and impact for clients
- Lead teams of data analysts and consultants to deliver high-quality, impactful data & analytics programmes of work
- Lead the introduction of new data & analytics tools, approaches, and techniques to meet client needs, including the deployment of modern modelling, statistical, and economic tools and techniques, primarily with R and Python
- Develop, scope, and plan programmes of data & analytics work with clients
- Develop new and existing client and internal analytics programmes, projects and resources
- Build internal and client materials, products, resources and capacity for transformational change
Programme Delivery
- Scoping, spinning up, and coordinating the delivery of agreed programme and project plans
- Consolidating activity and defining clear work packages and deliverables
- Managing scope, quality, risks, issues, budgets, and resources within assigned areas
- Ensuring effective documentation and quality assurance of deliverables
- Applying different delivery methodologies where appropriate (JIRA, kanban, agile)
- Manage pricing, invoicing, and contracting with clients
Technical Delivery
- Design and deliver data collection processes in collaboration with client organisations
- Design and deliver novel analytical approaches, translating client needs into clear methods and logic
- Manage a wide range of datasets, including through effective and secure information governance and data protection
- Analyse data and interpret the outputs of analyses, leading the application of statistical approaches to identify trends and relationships in complex datasets and draw meaningful conclusions
- Maintain domain knowledge and technical proficiency that allows close work with senior data analysts to deliver their core functions including data structuring and cleaning, segmentation, and model design. This includes familiarity with statistical analysis software (R, Python), data engineering & ETL processes, and reporting packages (e.g. PowerBI)
Business Development
- Working with the Head of Data & Analytics to develop overall business development strategy, including go-to-market strategies and product development
- Maximising key client interactions on behalf of PPL
- Supporting the development of PPL's product and market offerings
- Supporting the development of new business opportunities, through to contract award
- Supporting PPL's overall annual business and strategic planning processes
- Owning and delivering assigned elements of PPL's strategic and business plans
Resource Management
- Support the growth of PPL's Data & Analytics team and the management of specialist technical colleagues.
- Ensuring compliance with agreed PPL policies and procedures
- Supporting the realisation of PPL's values on both an individual and organisational level
