The founders are looking for an ambitious Sr. Engineer who takes ownership of the technical side of the product., * Finished the company onboarding
- Have met your entire team and understood the product and how our customers are using it
- Spent time shadowing your team, the founders and talked to customers directly
- Understand the company strategy, mission, value proposition and 2025 targets
- Dive deep into existing architecture and codebase
After 3 months you'll
- Have identified low-hanging fruits based on your discovery and previous experience and implement short-term wins
- Have built a foundation of trust with your peers and team to be able to take ownership of decisions
- Having a rough plan on the tech strategy to deliver 10x growth in 5 years based on the time you spend with customers, your team and the founders
- Understood the tech infrastructure and code
- Ship code weekly
After 6 months you'll
- Have a clear tech strategy in mind to achieve 10x growth in 5 years
- Proactively shape the company's direction, goals and objectives on the tech side
- Have re-structured the code base and took full ownership of all tech-contributing activities
Your Responsibilities
- Own and evolve core backend services (crawler, data collection, AI services, user services)
- Design for scalability, maintainability, and robustness
- Shape and challenge the existing architecture (C#/.NET services with a Node.js layer)
- Build and launch standards for code quality, testing, monitoring, and alerting
- Translate complex product and AI requirements into reliable backend solutions
- Work hands-on with .NET/C#, Node.js, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, RabbitMQ, React/TypeScript
- Act as technical backbone for external developers and future engineering hires
- Collaborate closely with founders, product, and customers
- Contribute to hiring by defining technical expectations and evaluating candidates, * Core technical role in a fast-growing B2B SaaS product solving a complex problem, no one in the industry solved: 100% automation of finding and removing counterfeits online
- Clear path towards Tech Lead responsibility

Requirements
- Fluent in a typed backend language (ideally C#/.NET)
- Comfortable working with Node.js as integration or service layer
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases and messaging systems
- End-to-end mindset: architecture, implementation, testing, monitoring
- High code quality standards and documentation discipline
- Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience in product-driven startups or scale-ups
- Hands-on attitude with a desire to take ownership of tasks and responsibilities;
- Proven experience in customer centric and agile environments
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
- Desire to work in fast-paced scale-up and passion to work with digital products and services
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate insights into actionable technical strategies and operational plans.
- Curiosity for AI-driven products and data-heavy systems
- Strong ownership mentality and bias for execution
- English required; German is a plus
Benefits & conditions
Compensation: EUR 90.000 - 110.000 gross annual base salary
Department: Responsible for Tech, Infrastructure & AI
Reports to: CPTO & Co-Founder
Headcount: Company wide: 20 FTE, Tech Department: 2-3 Engineers
