Job description
This position is subject to the signing of the ERC Grant Agreement. We seek an IT Expert to provide technical support within the ERC project, facilitating software development, data management, infrastructure maintenance, and digital research tools. The ERC project seeks an IT Expert to support the development of its digital research infrastructure. The IT Expert will be responsible for designing the database structure, selecting or adapting appropriate software solutions, and collaborating closely with the Principal Investigator and research team to develop the project's digital database and interactive online exhibition. The role requires the ability to translate scholarly and archival requirements into sustainable digital tools, ensuring accessibility, usability, and long-term maintenance. Experience with digital humanities projects, research databases, or online exhibitions is highly desirable. The IT expert should be able to design a sustainable operational plan for all digital outcomes of the project, considering also the use of open-source software, the compatibility with UPF infrastructures, the UPF open access repository and other open access repositories such as Zenodo. The IT Expert will work in close coordination with the Project Manager to align technical development with project timelines and reporting requirements., * Provide technical support to the ERC project according to its evolving needs, in close coordination with the Principal Investigator and Project Manager.
- Contribute to the development, maintenance, and updating of the project's website.
- Support the design, implementation, and maintenance of the project's research database.
- Collaborate in the development and upkeep of the project's interactive online exhibition.
- Assist in the selection, adaptation, and use of digital tools and software solutions required for the project's research and dissemination activities.
- Ensure the proper organisation, accessibility, and sustainability of the project's digital resources.
- Provide technical assistance and guidance to project team members when required by project activities., The minimum score to pass the selection process is: 70 points. The selection committee, if deemed appropriate, may call candidates for an interview or contact the references to clarify aspects of their CV that may help to better evaluate it. Selection process
Selection Committee
The operation of the selection committees will be adjusted to the Regulations on the remote functioning of the sessions of the collegiate bodies of Pompeu Fabra University (Agreement of the Governing Council of December 9, 2020), always holding synchronous sessions. For matters not provided for in these regulations, Law 26/2010, of August 3, on the legal regime and procedure of the public administrations of Catalonia, will apply, without prejudice to the basic rules established in Article 17 of Law 40/2015, of October 1, on the legal regime of the Public Sector. In sessions where candidates must participate, the physical presence of the candidates and, at least, the Secretary of the Committee will be ensured. In the event that a candidate accredits residence outside of Catalonia or justified circumstances prevent their physical presence, they may request the Secretary of the Committee for remote participation. The Secretary may admit this, provided it does not affect the equal participation of the candidates in the performance of the tests and the assessments to be carried out by the Committee.
The Selection Committee will conduct interviews with shortlisted candidates as part of the selection process.

Requirements
Research Field Computer science
Education Level Bachelor Degree or equivalent, * Degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. Experience with digital tools, databases, or software used in research or academic environments, including OPEN-source development software for databases.
- Experience with the Open Access framework and FAIR principles requirements of the EU Horizon projects.
- Ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary research context.
- Good communication skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent command of English; knowledge of additional languages is an asset.
Languages ENGLISH, * Relevance of technical skills and experience for the project's needs (50%)
- Experience in research or academic support environments (20%).
- Ability to collaborate effectively with researchers and project staff (20%).
- Flexibility and capacity to adapt technical solutions to evolving project requirements (10%).
