Senior Software Back-end Engineer

At Flikweert Vision, we develop advanced machines in which hardware, software and vision technology come together seamlessly. As a Senior Software Back-end Engineer, you play a key role in developing, improving and securing the back-end and API on our machines. You will work in a team with Software engineers and Vision specialists on machines used worldwide in the agri-food sector. What will you do? As a Senior Software Back-end Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development and maintenance of back-end systems and APIs. You work on new functionalities as well as on improving and professionalising existing solutions. In doing so, you have an eye for quality, scalability and maintainability. Your duties will include:

• Develop and maintain back-end applications and APIs

• Designing and implementing business logic and data flows

• Integrating back-end systems with databases, embedded software (external) services and front-end applications

• Contributing ideas on system architecture, performance and technical choices

• Debugging and analysing complex software issues

We are looking for an experienced Software engineer who is communicatively and technically strong and keeps an overview. You recognise yourself in the following:

• HBO or WO working and thinking level, towards Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar
• Minimum 5 years' experience in back-end software development
• Experience with one or more back-end languages and frameworks (Python, Java, C#)
• Experience in designing and building APIs (REST and/or GraphQL)
• Knowledge of databases and data modelling
• You are able to set up software in a modular and maintainable way
• You take responsibility and dare to make technical choices
• You enjoy helping others advance technically and in the work organisation

• A salary between €5000 and €6200 per month based on 38 hours
• 25 holidays and 13 ADV days, with the possibility of having these paid out monthly (your salary plus over 5%)
• 8% holiday pay
