Job description

While the focus is predominantly front end, there will be occasional backend crossover, and plenty of opportunity to influence tooling, processes, and technical direction as the team grows., * Own and evolve a Shopify Plus store using Liquid, JavaScript, HTML & CSS

  • Build and maintain custom features, sections, and landing pages
  • Create and manage API integrations with external systems (CRM, stock, shipping, etc.)
  • Optimise site speed, structure, and user experience
  • Work closely with creative and marketing teams to deliver campaigns and launches
  • Set up and configure modern dev tooling (Shopify CLI, CI/CD, Hydrogen, etc.)
  • Stay on top of Shopify platform updates and roll them out effectively
  • Help shape and scale an in-house development capability

Requirements

  • 2+ years' demonstrable experience working with Shopify Plus, Liquid, and Shopify integrations
  • 4+ years' commercial development experience overall
  • Strong Vanilla JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
  • Experience with Git-based version control and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, etc.)
  • Frontend build tools such as Webpack or Vite, plus Node / NPM
  • Proven experience building and integrating RESTful APIs
  • Familiarity with Figma and task management tools such as JIRA or Azure DevOps
  • Solid understanding of database design (SQL, MySQL, NoSQL)
  • Cross-browser development and testing experience (e.g. BrowserStack)
  • A proactive, self-managing developer who can prioritise high-impact work
