Data Engineer Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 Locations: Norwich/ Bristol/ Sheffield/ York Are you someone who would like to be part of our high-profile Data Engineering Team? We are seeking enthusiastic Data Engineers to be part of our innovative team which help shape the future of the life insurance business at Aviva. You'll use SQL and Python based tools to transform raw data from multiple systems into business focussed information that can be used for a range of purposes from Data Science, though Informational Dashboards and Reporting through to Self-service queries by analysts. supports analytics and data science use cases. Communicate data issues and solutions clearly to non-technical stakeholders, escalating risks or blockers where needed. Support regular data loads and data platform maintenance, helping ensure data environments are reliable and performant. Follow data governance and engineering standards, collaborating with other data engineers, and business teams while sharing knowledge and learning best practices. Skills and experience we're looking for Experience in relational database management systems. SQL experience (preferably Snowflake experience would be ideal) the ability to query large and complex databases using SQL. ETL/ELT experience ("dbt" experience would be ideal). Strong data interrogation and manipulation skills and any experience in tools like DataIku, Informatica PowerCenter or similar would be advantageous.
