Job description
You will plan and deliver commercial and operational designs for all John Lewis formats that take into account the latest concepts that enhance the customer journey, consider ease of shopping and the customer shopping experience.
You will create and develop design solutions for store interior architecture across all John Lewis customer facing areas that are creative and in keeping with JL&P brand guidelines. In addition to your contractual pay, any time worked between 22:00 - 06:00 will attract Night Premium at a rate of £5.00 per hour. This will also apply to existing Partners who have enrolled onto Enhanced Hours Premium arrangements., * You will create and develop store plans and design solutions for store interior architecture across all John Lewis customer facing areas that are creative and in keeping with JL&P brand guidelines
- You will agree project timescales are adhered to and quality designs are signed off at the right time and by the right people
- You will work closely with all key stakeholders in the development of the brief, the concept design, block and detailed store plans
- You actively support and contribute to the design of a portfolio of projects or several departments simultaneously.
- You are responsible for setting up stakeholder meetings, communicating and agreeing when briefs are not hit to internal and external stakeholders,

Requirements
Do you have experience in Sketching?, * Proven experience in store planning, interiors design and/or a design practice.
- Excellent AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Cloud, Sketch Up, 3d visualisation and hand sketching ability.
- A passion for design and attention to detail.
- Excellent creative problem solving skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects at different stages of development
Desirable skills/experience you may have
- A detailed understanding of how customers shop and engage in retail spaces
- Knowledge and ability to use Revit, 3DS Max and V-ray
- Educated to degree level in a design/ architectural field
- Experience working with brands

Salary - up to £52,000 (dependent on experience)

Contract type - This position is a Secondment/Fixed Term contract.

Working pattern/flexible working - The Partnership has adopted a hybrid working approach, meaning you'll be able to work a mixture between the office and home based upon your personal needs whilst balancing the needs of the business. The store design team are in the office 2 fixed days per week (Monday and Tuesday) to connect and collaborate on projects with a 3rd day either in the office or in branches/ supplier visits., We want all of our Partners to have a good work-life balance and we support flexible working.
