Job description
We are hiring an Application Support Analyst to support Temenos T24 / Transact for a UK based organisation operating in the digital banking and payments sector. This is a true production facing role supporting a platform that drives high-volume, customer-impacting workflows: accounts, payments, reconciliations, and regulatory reporting.
You'll join a small, capable support function sitting between technology and operations. The focus is stability and continuous improvement: fast incident resolution, stronger monitoring, clean change control, and better automation around batch and interfaces.
This is a great fit if you enjoy deep troubleshooting, understand how core banking platforms behave in production, and want a remote role with real ownership.
What you'll be doing
You'll provide 2nd/3rd line support across the T24 ecosystem: incidents, problems, changes, and production readiness., * Provide L2/L3 application support for Temenos T24 / Transact in a live production environment.
- Own incident triage and investigation: reproduce issues, gather evidence, and drive resolution within agreed SLAs.
- Perform root cause analysis and problem management to reduce repeat incidents (runbooks, permanent fixes, alert tuning).
- Support end-of-day and intraday operations: batch monitoring, reruns, reconciliation checks, and controlled recovery steps.
- Investigate data and transaction issues using T24 enquiries, logs, and database queries where appropriate.
- Support inbound/outbound interfaces: payments, files, and service integrations-ensuring validation, idempotency, and traceability.
- Coordinate changes and releases: pre/post checks, deployment validation, controlled rollbacks, and stakeholder comms.
- Work with vendors and internal engineering teams to progress defects and enhancements-providing clear evidence, timelines and risk assessment., * Temenos T24 / Transact (enquiries, operations support, data checks, incident investigation)
- TAFJ (batch lifecycle, job monitoring, scheduling, rerun/recovery patterns)
- OFS (message flows, transaction processing, troubleshooting)
- Linux/Unix (process control, services, permissions, logs, scheduling basics)
- SQL (investigation, reconciliation checks, report queries; platform dependent)
- Integration formats: SWIFT, SEPA, ISO 20022, XML, CSV, secure file transfer (SFTP)
- APIs: REST, JSON, authentication and certificate basics, * Payments/settlement understanding: cut-off times, exception queues, reconciliation, nostros (depending on environment)
- Monitoring/observability: Splunk, Elastic/ELK, Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, AppDynamics
- ITSM tooling: ServiceNow (Incident/Problem/Change), knowledge base, SLA reporting
- Automation/scripting: Bash, Python, PowerShell (health checks, log parsing, automation of routine tasks)
- Familiarity with DR processes and production readiness (runbooks, failover checks, testing evidence)
What success looks like (first 90-180 days)
- You'll become a trusted escalation point for the T24 platform-reducing resolution times through better diagnostics and runbooks.
- You'll stabilise at least one recurring operational issue (batch failures, interface errors, reconciliation drift) with a permanent fix.
- You'll improve monitoring and alert quality-fewer false positives and faster time-to-detect/time-to-recover.
- You'll strengthen release confidence with consistent pre/post deployment checks and operational documentation.
Requirements
- Proven experience in Application Support / Production Support (L2/L3) within banking, payments, or another regulated 24/7 environment
