Analytics Engineer

The role:Build and maintain core analytics datasets that sit behind reporting and insightDevelop and improve data pipelines to make data more reliable, accessible and scalableReduce manual effort across analytics workflows through automation and smarter toolingWork with stakeholders to understand how data is used and design models that reflect real business needsHelp evolve the analytics platform so teams can answer questions independently through self-serve BIPut structure around data quality, ownership and reliability through testing and monitoringContribute to shared standards, documentation and repeatable patterns across the data functionContinuously refine the data stack, bringing new ideas and improvements as the platform matures

Your skills and experience:Strong experience working in analytics engineering or similar data-focused rolesConfident writing SQL and building transformation logic in tools such as dbtExperience with data visualisation tools such as LookerExperience designing analytics-ready data models rather than raw ingestion pipelinesUnderstanding of how modern cloud data platforms support reporting and decision makingComfortable partnering with analysts and business users to translate questions into data structuresProactive, detail-focused approach with a bias toward improving how things workCollaborative mindset and interest in helping teams get more value from data

A data-driven business is expanding its analytics capability and is hiring an Analytics Engineer to help modernise its data platform during a period of growth. This role is focused on turning raw data into well-structured, reliable datasets that teams across the business can confidently use. You'll help shape how data is modelled, surfaced and accessed, working closely with analysts and stakeholders to reduce friction, improve trust in numbers, and support better decision making at scale.
