Job description
As a First Level IT Support / IT Support (Hardware / Software) professional, you will work hands-on with IT equipment, service hardware, and daily operational tasks inside the data center. You will support customers and internal teams, resolve IT support requests, work with cabling, and ensure smooth, safe operations on site. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys practical technical work and wants to develop further in the data center and IT operations environment., * Rack, unrack, install, and maintain service and IT equipment.
- Provide Level 1 / 1st-Level IT Support.
- Resolve tickets (remote hands, faults, troubleshooting).
- Perform routine monitoring and scheduled tasks.
- Install, test, and manage copper/fiber cabling and cross-connects.
- Maintain database records (CMDB / asset information).
- Support internal IT (laptops, consoles, security systems).
- Escort and coordinate customers, suppliers, and deliveries.
- Act as on-site contact for ongoing projects at the site.
- Support daily operational activities as required.
Requirements
Do you have experience in IT?, * IT degree or equivalent hands-on experience.
- IT operations knowledge (hardware, networking, operating systems).
- Experience with troubleshooting, ticketing systems, and remote-hands tasks.
- Ideally experience in copper and fiber cabling work.
- Fluent in English and Spanish.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to support projects outside regular hours / on call when required.
- Must live within 60 minutes of the data center.
- Reliable, proactive, and customer-oriented working style.
