Job description

The role blends second-line support with hands-on end-user support, covering Windows environments, Microsoft 365, and Teams administration. The 2nd Line IT Support Engineer role is ideal for someone comfortable with update and patch management, light scripting, device builds and imaging, BIOS configuration, as well as mainstream endpoint management and security tooling. Experience with platforms such as Intune, SCCM, and Defender-based solutions would be especially valuable. It's a great match for someone who enjoys combining user-facing work with deeper technical problem-solving across the Microsoft ecosystem, * Provide 2nd line support for Windows, Mac, mobile devices and Microsoft 365/Teams.

  • Escalate complex desktop, Teams and AV/meeting room issues.

  • Manage device performance, patching and endpoint security (Defender & HarfangLabs).

  • Administer user accounts, shared mailboxes and distribution lists; support onboarding.

  • Train users on Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint and Power Automate.

  • Maintain documentation, manage IT assets and coordinate Dell hardware repairs.

  • Monitor security alerts, assist with cyber response and pen test remediation.

  • Support projects: laptop refresh, PST Azure migration, Hybrid Join (AD & Entra ID), SCCM/Intune co-management, driver updates, server upgrades, and Power BI rollout.

  • Contribute to weekly service reviews and monthly security reporting.

Requirements

Experience: 5+ years of IT support mandatory (no sponsorship), * Strong end-user support across Windows and Mac environments.

  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft 365, Teams, Intune and desktop apps.

  • Proven troubleshooting of hardware, software, networking and AV/Teams Rooms.

  • Experience in endpoint security, patching, compliance and modern device management.

  • Good knowledge of SharePoint, Power Automate and cloud services.

  • Clear communicator, organised and proactive.

  • Relevant Microsoft or CompTIA certifications are desirable.
