Job description

EEI is seeking a motivated and technically skilled IT Technician to support our growing IT environment. The successful candidate will assist with day-to-day IT operations, device management, user support and cybersecurity tasks across the business. The role is ideal for someone who possesses hands on experience in Microsoft O365, Intune and modern Endpoint Management, with a strong interest in Cybersecurity best practices., · Provide 1st/2nd line technical support to end users.

· Manage user accounts, permissions, and groups within the Microsoft 365 Admin Centre.

· Troubleshoot issues across laptops, desktops, mobile devices, printers and networking equipment.

· Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including device setup and account provisioning.

· Maintain IT asset inventory and ensure devices remain compliant and up to date.

· Enrol, configure, and manage devices using Microsoft Intune/Endpoint manager.

· Apply and maintain compliance policies, configuration profiles and application deployments.

· Monitor device health, security posture and update status.

· Assist with SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams and Exchange Online administration.

· Support MFA, Conditional access and identify security configurations.

· Monitor and respond to security alerts from Microsoft defender and other security tools.

· Conduct regular checks on device compliance and security baselines.

Requirements

Do you have experience in SharePoint?, · CompTIA Security+

· CompTIA Network+

· CCNA

· Microsoft Certified

Skills and Experience (Essential)

· Experience supporting Windows environments.

· Working knowledge of Microsoft 365

· Understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals.

· Experience with security tools.

· Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

· Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Skills and Experience (Desirable)

· Exposure to compliance frameworks such as Cyber Essentials and ISO27001

· Experience with backup solutions and disaster recovery processes.

· Proactive and eager to learn new technologies.

· Strong attention to detail and security focused mindset.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a small IT team.

· Professional, reliable and able to handle sensitive information confidentially.

Due to the nature of elements of the role, the successful applicant must be a UK National and may be required to successfully complete National Security Vetting which may require criminal record, security service and credit reference checks; qualification will also normally require a minimum UK residency of at least 5 years.
