Job description

We are looking for someone with strong technical skills in supporting and developing the SITS student record systems. Experience of working in the higher education sector and related systems would be an advantage, you should have the ability to build strong relationships and work effectively with other teams to help deliver key projects and improvements. Duties and responsibilities will include working with stakeholders across the organisation to deliver and support a range of SITS processes and developments. Projects that are in the pipeline include the migration of users from client into eVision, implementation of additional SITS modules following the implementation of the new HEFS licencing model - as well as lots more opportunities besides. We are building integrations connections between SITS and several other systems including TimeEdit Timetabling, Curriculum Management systems, and a Digital Degree Certificates Platform. You will have excellent technical skills and knowledge along with a demonstrable capability of developing within the SITS suite of modules and products. An excellent communicator, you will have a successful track record of delivering technical implementation projects as well as good technical skills in SITS SRL, T-SQL, scripting, etc. Experience of implementing STU Talk, Automation Manager, E-Vision, IPP, Document Manager, etc. would be an advantage although training will be available for the right candidate.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Teaching?, * Degree in a relevant discipline, or relevant experience

  • Demonstrable experience of SITS Development
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentational skills
  • An understanding of current IT developments
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of the University's Student Records and Learning and Teaching systems
  • Knowledge of SQL database structures for Student Records and Learning and Teaching systems.
  • Previous experience of training other users.
