Job description

We're looking for an enthusiastic Server Team Analyst to support and work closely in a busy but rewarding technical environment.

This is an exciting time to join Bath Spa University IT Services as we embark upon an exciting journey along our technology roadmap focused on supporting Bath Spa's strategic goals., You will be a skilled platform services specialist who will provide expert technical knowledge in maintaining and developing our platform services, including software and hardware upgrades.

The role involves working closely with neighbouring teams to support the migration to and adoption of Microsoft cloud technologies, as well as delivering new services, upgrades, and fixes to meet critical deadlines.

You will play a key role in ensuring the integrity, consistency, and reliability of services that support organisational transformation, while building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, suppliers, and industry specialists.

About You

  • Supporting Windows Server and VMware (or similar) platforms
  • Supporting Microsoft cloud technologies
  • Evidence of a broad and specialist understanding of wider areas of IT and digital concepts, practices and products.
  • Evidence of being able to prioritise, delegate and assign work to others.
  • Ability to negotiate and compromise in order to find a solution.

Salary Grade - 7 Starting from £38,784 rising to £43,482 per annum

The salary range shows the potential maximum pay progression in addition to any annual inflationary increase to your pay. Please note that our default position is to appoint into the lower end of the range, unless there are exceptional circumstances.
