We are now recruiting an IT Service and Systems Manager to join our team in providing excellent IT Support for TVS, based at the Bristol office. This role will provide support and leadership to a team of IT support analysts and operations specialists dedicated to the LCST contract.
Purpose:
Apply proven analytical and problem-solving skills to provide support for our internal customers and colleagues across a breadth of IT hardware and software on the LCST contract and across other sides in the UK. You will also be responsible for implementing application upgrades and supporting a variety of IT projects. You will support our IT Infrastructure team with maintaining a secure and high availability platforms, servers and networks through monitoring, maintaining, supporting, optimising and improving our support and environments. Support ranges from hardware support, software support, IT request fulfilment, onboarding and offboarding and getting involved with key IT Projects supporting our Infrastructure team & Development teams.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide support and direction to the LCST IT team
Present Service Management and Project briefings to senior colleagues and key stakeholders
Lead, plan, prioritise and execute server maintenance and monitor activities
Champion a culture of excellent customer service
Schedule and execute application upgrades as part of BAU operations and for change requests, ensuring minimal disruption
Develop and maintain subject matter expertise in selected applications, guiding the creation and communication of process documentation, and ensuring knowledge is shared across the team
Oversee the analysis, diagnosis and resolution issues in real-time, supporting the team in end-to-end problem resolution and dealing with major incident management
Manage timely and appropriate escalations to 3rd line support, maintaining strong communication with fellow IT colleagues
Ensure high levels of performance, availability and security throughout the IT Infrastructure and IT applications
Take ownership of faults raised with third-party suppliers, ensuring clear communication, accurate tracking, and consistent progress updates until resolution
Support the procurement and build/configuration of PCs, laptops and other equipment
Uphold robust asset management practices to accurately log equipment changes
Champion IT best practices and increase knowledge of core IT Systems in the user community
Provide both remote and onsite assistance as required (3 days working in Bristol office/2 days working from home)
Provide out of hours support on an ad-hoc basis, with appropriate reward for any such work
Requirements

Exceptional customer service skills, with natural aptitude to consider impact to the customer
Understanding of Service and Network infrastructures
Office 365 experience - administration and training
Windows 10/11 Desktop Support
Android and Apple mobile support
Microsoft Azure and SharePoint experience
Windows Server experience
AWS experience desirable

Candidates must be eligible to undergo Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance and Security Clearance (SC). This process includes verification of identity, right to work in the UK, employment history, and a basic criminal records check for unspent convictions.
