Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Audio Video Support Engineer to join our team with the focus on Meeting Rooms and Digital Devices. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. You will play a vital role in ensuring our audio-video infrastructure aligns with the organization's strategic goals, providing seamless support to our users. Programming skills, particularly with Crestron systems, are a significant advantage we. Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate, prioritize, and effectively communicate the progress of AV projects, ensuring stakeholders are well-informed.
  • Provide regular progress reports to management, keeping them abreast of project statuses, achievements, and any challenges encountered.
  • Proactively identify areas for improvement within the AV support processes, implementing these improvements and meticulously documenting all procedures.
  • Deliver exceptional second-line technical support for audio and video systems, encompassing troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving issues swiftly and effectively.
  • Conduct remote diagnostics to promptly identify and address audio and video system problems, minimising downtime and disruption to users.
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of all user interactions, troubleshooting steps taken, and solutions implemented, ensuring a robust support log.
  • Provide user training and guidance on best practices for audio and video conferencing, empowering users to maximise their experience and minimise potential issues.
  • Create and maintain clear and concise technical documentation for audio and video systems, as well as custom software solutions, ensuring ease of reference and knowledge sharing.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in audio and video support and programming, continuously expanding your knowledge base to provide cutting-edge support.
  • Actively participate in all stages of project planning and execution, including scoping, estimation, and delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standard.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Technical support?, * Proven experience in providing technical support, preferably within the realm of audio and video conferencing systems, demonstrating your ability to effectively address technical challenges.

  • Strong familiarity with a wide range of audio and video equipment, codecs, and conferencing software, showcasing your technical proficiency and ability to adapt to different systems.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, enabling you to quickly identify the root cause of issues and implement effective solutions, minimising downtime and disruption.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, allowing you to effectively interact with users at all levels of technical expertise, conveying complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative, cross-functional team, adapting to different working styles and demands, contributing effectively to team goals.
  • Detail-oriented approach with strong organizational skills, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and a high level of quality in all tasks undertaken, contributing to a positive user experience.
  • Flexibility to work outside of regular business hours as needed to provide timely support to users, address critical issues, and ensure the smooth operation of our AV systems.
  • Certifications related to audio and video technologies are highly desirable, demonstrating your commitment to professional development and keeping your skills current within this rapidly evolving field.
  • Experience in programming Crestron systems using its proprietary environment is a must, allowing you to contribute to the development and maintenance of our custom AV solutions.
