Job description

You'll be part of a growing System of Systems function supporting export programmes, working in a collaborative, well-funded environment with long-term stability and meaningful engineering challenges. It's a team that values systems thinking, open communication and proper development., As a System of Systems Engineer, you'll support the integration of a Land Ceptor product into a wider Ground Based Air Defence Weapon System context, primarily focused on export programmes.

This is a role where you'll operate at system level, working with customers to help define requirements and architecture, while collaborating internally with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver a product that meets operational needs.

You'll play a key part in functional integration, system architecture design and requirements definition, contributing to both current delivery and future capability evolution. The work is varied and offers exposure across multiple engineering disciplines.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting functional integration within a wider Ground Based Air Defence context

  • Working with customers to shape system requirements and architecture

  • Driving and supporting trade studies

  • Developing and agreeing requirement sets with System Design Authorities and Government stakeholders

  • Designing and delivering defined work packages

  • Collaborating with industry partners and internal project teams

Requirements

Do you have experience in Project engineering?, * Experience developing and integrating complex systems, ideally within defence

  • Strong systems thinking skills and experience initiating trade studies

  • Confidence communicating technical information to varied stakeholders

  • Experience developing and agreeing requirements collaboratively

  • Project engineering understanding to design and deliver work packages

  • Familiarity with tools such as DOORS and Rhapsody

Working Pattern & Eligibility

Hybrid working, typically 3 days per week on-site due to workload classification.

British Citizen or Dual UK national with British citizenship required.

  • Salary £45,000 to £50,000 depending on experience

  • Company bonus up to £2,500 per year
