Job description

As a Support Engineer in our bank, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems and applications. You will be responsible for troubleshooting technical issues, providing timely support to end-users, and ensuring the stability and performance of our IT infrastructure.

Your role is pivotal in maintaining the integrity and reliability of our banking services. This role combines technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, focusing on troubleshooting, team management, and maintaining high service standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background.

Responsibilities

· Provide first and second-level support for all banking software, hardware, and network-related issues.

· Diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently, escalating complex problems to higher-level support teams when necessary.

· Monitor IT systems and networks to ensure optimal performance and prevent potential issues.

· Assist bank staff with IT-related queries and provide training on software and hardware usage.

· Maintain accurate records of issues, solutions, and user requests using the bank's ticketing system.

· Maintenance and Updates: Perform regular maintenance tasks, including software updates, patches, and hardware upgrades.

· Ensure all IT activities comply with banking regulations and internal policies.

· Incident Management: Manage and document incidents, ensuring timely communication with affected users and management.

· Work closely with other IT teams, vendors, and service providers to resolve issues and improve service delivery.

· Diagnose and resolve complex technical problems, serving as the escalation point for other support engineers.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Windows?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, · Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

· Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in IT support or a related role, preferably in the banking or financial services industry.

· Proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems.

· Strong knowledge of networking principles and technologies (LAN, WAN, VPN, etc.).

· Experience with database management (SQL, Oracle).

· Familiarity with banking software applications and systems.

· Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices.

· Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

· Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

· Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

· Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to providing high-quality support.
